springtime on campus

I love campus this time of year! This made me so happy today :)

Today I'm loving...

Some things I'm loving today:

{all the bright colors this spring}

 

{taking a nap in fresh cut grass}

 {this perfect nail polish for spring}

{the way my silver glitter toms were dancing in the sunlight this morning. made me so happy}

fabs&flops friday!

Sorry I missed last week...I got wayy busy.

But fabs&flops is back!

Here goes!

Flops:

- walking to class and awkwardly running into the teacher (walking the other direction mind you) whose said class you are going to and not really knowing what to say. AWKWARD.

- the weather's identity crisis. it's spring in case you didn't get the memo.

- trying a new church for the first time and making a grand entrance by tripping through the doorway and then proceeding to walk between two people who are about to shake hands. yeah sorry...

- that particular visit from mother nature that I swear just loves to bring me so much pain.

- story: man comes flying out of nowhere on his bike right in front of me while I'm driving (almost hit him), I lightly honk just to let him that is not okay and HE FLIPS ME OFF! now tell me, who's in the wrong here?

Fabs:

- employee appreciation week at work! talk about fabulous treats and goodies!

- my trooper of an umbrella that has held up for over 2 years through the nasty almost-hurricanes, I'm tellin' ya- that thing deserves an award.

- getting a raise at work. always a plus!

- going to target, finding some AMAZING items and buying them all. If you haven't been lately, it's a must. GO!

- 2 fabulous friend's birthday BBQs this week. I'm so blessed to know such lovely ladies!

Tonight we are going to Portland to celebrate all 3 of our birthdays- I can't wait!

- taking out my belly ring. It was time for that thing to go.

- the pretty daffodils that have been in bloom- they are so cheerful!

fabs & flops friday

Flops:

-getting sandwiched between 2 semis on the freeway. talk about scary! gee I can only hope that they know I'm there in my little car

-spilling my coffee on myself. such a great start to a day!

-going to the wrong classroom for class. It's the first week, so it's ok...right?

-stepping in a big ol' pile of my dog's present right outside my car door. thank you sweetie.

-the big wasp in the kitchen yesterday! I had the fly swatter ready and stood in position to kill it for 20 minutes (I kid you not) and then I missed. So I ran away. (did I mention that I'm allergic?)

Fabs:

-kicking it old school and listening to some Backstreet Boys

-going shopping! a) to the mall [with my dear alyssa] & b) to the craft store [with miss julia]

- the smell of spring and how the trees are beginning to bloom and the sunshine. it's awesome right?!

- playing with my dog (yes, there is a good side to that sweet pup) and getting a good workout in considering she has tons of energy since she's started losing weight. I nearly had my arm ripped out of its socket while playing tug-o-war.

- having 3 classes cancelled just in the first week

-getting to start working at the hospital

-being at home with my family. i love it.

Happy last day of March! We made it! I'm loving this spring weather. Have a happy Thursday!

fabs and flops friday

{sweater: gift, plaid shirt: macys, jeans: ross, boots: payless, watch: art&air festival booth}

Flops:

- blurry camera shots all week. sorry.

- the fact that I'm writing this on Thursday instead of Friday

- moving over 25 tables at work and having the elevator continuing to close so that it made the task nearly impossible

- procrastinating packing and then figuring out that I don't have enough boxes to put all of my stuff in so I have to carry it out in garbage bags or one-by-one...so not how I want this process to go.

Fabs:

- finishing a fantastic book. "Immanuel's Veins" by Ted Dekker if you're interested. Quite the thriller!

- transporting my tv to my friend's house so that we could watch a movie. most random thing I've ever taken to a friend's and still strangely hilarious.

- having it stay light outside later and being perfect nice weather for break. hellooooo spring!

- finding my remote after it had "disappeared" for 5 months. I guess you really do find things when you aren't looking for them.

- no homework. lots of sleep. hanging with friends. perfect vacation.

excited for summer

I should probably be paying more attention in class..but I can't. I am just too excited about the sunshine and can't stop thinking of how much I want it to be spring and summer. I am excited to get new clothes and bring out the old ones and wear those bright colors (I know I might be getting a little ahead of myself after all it's still only January).
